• Siklós: the main landmark of this town is its wonderfully renovated castle awaiting visitors from spring 2011.

• Mohács: this town is especially famous for a specifically Hungarian and unique event called “busójárás” which appeared on the UNESCO world heritage list in 2009. If not arriving at the period  of the busójárás, you can still visit the place of the battle of Mohács in the Historical Memorial Park of Mohács instead.

Szársomlyó and the Sculpture Park of Nagyharsány: Szársomlyó is the highest peak of the Villány mountains, it is 442 m. This area is the only habitat of numerous species of plants in Hungary, e.g. the Colchicum hungaricum. The sculpture park was arranged from the old limestone cave of the Szársomlyó mountain.

Pécsvárad: The castle built on the Benedictan monastery by King St. Stephen is one of the most significant medieval relics of Hungary.

Szigetvár: famous for the heroic acts and brave struggles of Zrínyi Miklós and his army. As the fortress was almost completely demolished during the siege of 33 days in 1566, it was rebuilt by the Turks. It is considered to be the only Turkish castle in Hungary today.

Orfű: this village with a picturesque landscape is mostly known for the lakes situated on its border, around which you can go for great walks, cycle, or even go to the beach in summer. While walking around the environs, the dropstone-cave of Abaliget is also worth a visit.

Gyűrűfű: it is a special settlement, virtually completely uninhabited during the Socialist era, and reborn in the form of an eco-village as a result of a process begun 20 years ago. This village is today in perfect harmony with nature.
